We are shining a light on a talented and creative member of the Class of 2026! James Parker Strauss is the son of Jamie L. Strauss and Brian J. Strauss. James’ plans reflect his gifts and talents and give him skills needed to attain success at high levels of accomplishment.
Parker has been actively involved in a wide range of activities, including UIL One Act Play, Tennis, and Band, where he earned distinctions such as Band Beau, Drum Major, and 1st Chair Trombone, and Tennis 3rd Place District Boys’ Singles. This outstanding senior also received honors including participation in the UIL State Marching Band during his junior year and Band Sweepstakes awards from grades 9 through 11.
Demonstrating leadership, Parker served as a Student Council member and treasurer. He is CPR certified and dedicated time to volunteering through the local Food Bank, Senior Class Fundraising, and as a Concession Stand worker.
In his free time, he enjoys reading, gaming, writing, playing Dungeons & Dragons, fishing, porcelain art, carpentry, music, DJing, and drawing or sketching.
Following graduation, Parker plans to utilize Gap Year time to gain work experience before attending Angelo State University where he will pursue a career in graphic and game design.
