CLASS OF 2026

Graduate Spotlight

DAYLA RAY

Join us in celebrating Dayla Ray, daughter of Derek and Stephenie Ray. This outstanding graduating senior’s high school journey has been filled with dedication, leadership, and heart! Her contributions at SAISD are highly valued and of lasting significance.

From 9th–12th grade, Dayla stayed actively involved in Cheer, Basketball, Tennis, Softball, Track, FFA, UIL Academics, Student Council, One Act Play, and more—proving that hard work and passion truly pay off.

Throughout her high school career, Dayla has demonstrated a consistent commitment to academic excellence, earning several “Outstanding Student” awards in subjects ranging from Algebra and Geometry to Equine Science and Advanced Algebra II. Her competitive spirit in academics is further highlighted by her success on the 1st Place Number Sense Team and 3rd Place Science Team, as well as her inclusion on the President’s List for her achievements in Dual Credit coursework.

Beyond the classroom, she is a natural leader and a well-respected figure among her peers. She served as Class Vice President during her freshman and sophomore years before transitioning to Student Council Vice President for her junior and senior years. Her school spirit and character have been recognized through multiple Student of the Week honors and her selection as Homecoming Queen.

Driven by a deep sense of civic duty, she is a dedicated volunteer who spends much of her time giving back. Her service work includes supporting the local Food Bank, delivering for Meals on Wheels, and contributing to organizations like Neighbors Helping Neighbors and working as a Funtier Days volunteer.

In her free time, Dayla enjoys exploring her creative side through arts and crafts, watching her favorite TV shows, and prioritizing quality time with her family.

Dayla plans to pursue a career in radiography through a program at Hendrick Hospital or Howard College in San Angelo.

Favorite Scripture:
“God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.” — Psalm 46:5

We are proud of all Dayla Ray has accomplished and know that her future is bright in the health care field and in all she endeavors throughout her lifetime!
