The Texas Education Agency requires that all public schools report data related to organizational, financial, student, and employee via the Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS). Data reported to the agency is used by the state legislature and the Texas Education Agency (TEA) to perform their legally authorized functions in overseeing public education.
