Superintendent's Message

Mr. David Robinett, Superintendent

David Robinett

Welcome to the Santa Anna ISD!

A sincere welcome is extended to you by the entire faculty and staff of Santa Anna ISD. There have been numerous changes throughout the district this year, including this new website, and the addition of several new teachers, coaches, and administrators. We have been very fortunate in acquiring some truly outstanding new faculty members for the  school year, and I hope they will remain with us for many years to come. We have high expectations for our students, and those expectations extend to our faculty, staff, and administration. We encourage all parents/guardians, business, and community members to become involved and active participants in the education process at Santa Anna ISD. Strong schools make strong communities, and we want Santa Anna ISD to be a strong contributor to the success of our community. An effective education for our young people must include a great relationship between school, home, and community. We invite you to learn more about the great things happening in our schools on a daily basis through our new website. We strive to keep our school calendar of events as up to date as possible, and you can find out more about our school activities through District News on our Home Page and by liking Santa Anna ISD on Facebook. We also recognize many of our student accomplishments on local websites such as Santa Anna News, Coleman Chronicle as well as other local newspapers.  You will be truly inspired by our many wonderful students, teachers, and staff!

There have been many perceived purposes for education throughout the years. At one time it was to prepare students for the workforce. At another time, it was to advance good citizenship, and at another to develop our kids into “critical thinkers”. Still another purpose was to prepare our children to compete in a global marketplace. Our purpose for education at Santa Anna ISD is simple. We want our young adults to graduate with an “Education for Life”. For us, that means an education that enables our students to “learn” for the rest of their lives, whether that be in college, the work force, or other technical or vocational settings. It also means an education that goes beyond the classroom and prepares them for life and how to deal with it, and not just how to pick the correct answer on a paper and pencil test. Santa Anna graduates will be prepared “for life”.

Thank you again for your interest and your support of Santa Anna ISD!

David Robinett
