BECKETT GUTHRIE
Valedictorian   

 During high school, Beckett participatedbeckett, valedictorian in Visual Arts Scholastic Education (VASE), UIL   Academics, track, tennis, cross country, marching band, Solo and Ensemble, One Act Play, and   the International Thespian Society. He advanced many times to regionals in VASE, Track,   Tennis, Cross Country, Marching Band, and One Act Play. He advanced to state twice in UIL   Academics and three times in Solo and Ensemble. Finally, Beckett will compete at a national   level this summer for the International Thespian Society in two events. He is part of the National   Honor Society, and served as Class President twice, Student Council, and Vice President. Next   fall, Beckett will attend Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. He will be majoring in   music education. Beckett plans to double major, but has not decided on the other major at this   time. After college, Beckett plans to pursue a career in education with the goal to eventually play professionally for an orchestra.

 

 

 

ARIEL GUTHRIE
Salutatorian

ariel, salutatorianAriel has participated in many different activities throughout high school, but some of her favorites were One Act Play, Band, and Tennis. She won many awards in OAP, such as four Best Performer awards, multiple All-Star Cast awards, and the cast has advanced to regionals two years in a row. In band, she is the baritone section leader and drum major. In tennis, Ariel advanced to regionals every year. Some other activities she participated in were Cross Country, Solo & Ensemble, UIL Academics, Student Council, Class Officer, Visual Arts Scholastic Education (VASE), and International Thespian Society. During her senior year, Ariel was president of Student Council and vice president of Santa Anna's first International Thespian Society troupe. She has volunteered at the Santa Anna Food Drive and the Coleman Animal Shelter. Ariel plans on attending college at Texas State University and majoring in communications with a double-minor in Theater and English. After college, she hopes to get a job as a public relations manager. Later in life, after a career involved with public relations, Ariel plans on becoming a teacher in either theater or English.
