The Trip of A Lifetime

Recently Austin, Levi, Abigail, Shyla, and Ellie of FFA traveled to the National FFA Convention hosted in Indianapolis at the Lucus Oil Stadium. All these students worked hard collecting donations to attend this trip, raising $7,000. These students attended with Mr. Hindman and Ms. McIver. They all received motivation from speakers at the convention and had the opportunity to look at great university booths like Tarleton, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, and others, promoting FFA from around the nation. Austin says, “I gained a lot of experience traveling across the country and being able to interact with other FFA members from across the country.” Austin and Abigail said one of their favorite things from the convention was the virtual welding booth where the convention goers could interact with innovative technology that allowed them to practice their welding without using materials. Abigail said the convention was a great experience “because we got to grow as a team and learn new things, every one of us was very enthusiastic about it.” Levi was absolutely astonished by the size of the companies that attended the event and was grateful he got to go, saying, “It’s an experience that I may only get to do once.”
