Good morning Santa Anna family:
This week we had reports from families of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in second grade and in the high school. We’re trying to eliminate the transfer of COVID-19 within the classroom through quarantine, strong cleaning, social distancing, and wearing masks. Students identified as close contacts have either had negative COVID-19 tests or are quarantining at home. Our strong recommendation for students attending class is to wear masks for the duration of the quarantine time (this week and next). If we cannot slow down the spread, we will look at quarantine of grade levels. Please play close attention for any potential symptoms in your students. We will continue to utilize social distancing and washing hands to prevent the spread of COVID-19, but we would like to emphasize the importance of following safety protocols outside of the school. In a meeting with Dr. Atwood, COVID-19 cases in Coleman County are on the rise.
Thank you for your support and understanding as we continue to serve our students in the best way possible under challenging times for our district and our country.
