When the Santa Anna Library board of directors made the difficult decision to close, the second question was what will we do with the funds raised through sales of books, furniture and furnishing. This was an easy question to answer with all being in agreement that all monies would go to benefit the children of the community.
The first contribution has been made recently to the Santa Anna Elementary School. Each year along with school supplies, parents are asked to purchase a t-shirt for each of their students in grades PK through 6th grade. Students wear these on field trips, for pep rallies and other special events.
The Library presented a check in the amount of $2,000 to purchase t-shirts for the elementary.
