11 FFA Members travelled to Houston during Spring Break to show their projects they constructed. Three projects were taken - a pig clipping chute, a folding sheep blocking table, and a 10' utility trailer. The pig clipping chute and blocking table received red ribbons while the trailer received a blue ribbon.
Ribbons are awarded on a 100 point scale, much like grades. They are scored on the following criteria: Workmanship, Functionality, Design and Material Used, Presentation, General Appearance, Finish, and/or Preservation, Documentation and Presentation, and Degree of Difficulty. A blue ribbon would be similar to an "A", a red like a "B", and a white a "C" or below.
The teams are:
Pig Clipping Chute - Kali Corns, Jadyn Dane, Keilei Isbell and Monica Ceniceros
Folding Sheep Blocking Table - Cody Robertson, Madison Diaz and Trinidi Deleon
10' Utility Trailer - Dominic Enriquez, Trace Garrett, Luke Dotson and Rance Railsback
I am very proud of each of these students for their hard work, persistence, and dedication to completing and showing their projects. They have put in many hours and have learned a lot in the process. They have created a solid foundation for our ag mech show team. I look forward to what we can produce in the future.
