COVID-19 Update

covid 19

Santa Anna ISD is still experiencing small pockets of contact with people that have tested positive for COVID-19.  While our staff, students, and community have worked hard to maintain wearing masks during school time or campus events, there are some components that are beyond our control.

In athletics, students often have close contact with each other and our opponents.  When one of our players or our opponents plays in a game, then tests positive the following day, we have no choice but to support those students through distance learning during quarantine.

As time has passed, the quarantine procedures shared by health officials that guide our decisions have changed.  Currently, students and/or staff that are under quarantine spend ten days isolated, or seven days with a negative test.

As always, if you have any symptoms of COVID, it is recommended that you see your doctor.

Sincerely,
Todd White
SAISD Superintendent
