Good afternoon Santa Anna family:
Today we had a report from a doctor’s office of a confirmed case of COVID-19 in one of our SAISD students. The student and immediate family had already begun quarantine procedures, but we are also impacted in some of the classes the student had.
Letters went home today for students that were directly in contact with the student that will place those students in a quarantine environment until their return on September 4th. This impacts the 8th grade students the most, as students in this grade level shared multiple classes. Some 8th grade courses will immediately begin synchronous learning tomorrow at 8 am.
We will continue to utilize social distancing and wear masks to prevent the spread of COVID-19, but we would like to emphasize the importance of following safety protocols outside of the school. Our teams are deep cleaning and sanitizing potential areas that were used and will continue to monitor students and staff to maintain the safest environment possible.
Thank you for your support and understanding as we continue to serve our students in the best way possible under challenging times for our country.
