Ag class in TV studio

The Ag Communications class has been studying various means of communication, including television broadcasting.

On Monday, October 22, Senora Scott from Fox West Texas (KIDY) came and spoke to the class about her job, educational requirements to be in television, and her back story.  The students enjoyed getting to meet her and spend some time, one-on-one, learning about the trade.

On Tuesday, October 23, the class traveled to the studio in San Angelo where they had the opportunity to see everything that happens to produce a morning show, including getting to be guests on the Wake Up West Texas show.  They met everyone from the producer and director to the anchors and production team.  They got to spend time in the control room seeing everything that goes on to keep the show on the air.  They also got to see the greenroom and watch how they use it to superimpose their image onto computer images.  Some of the class were interviewed on air, and everyone got to record an intro for Fox West Texas.

Tune in to KIDY - Fox West Texas and you may see our students doing the intro for the station!

The class would like to say a HUGE "Thank You" to Senora, Malik, Camille, and all of the people who allowed us to come in and be a part of the 3rd hour of the Wake Up West Texas show!
