On Friday, May 12, Santa Anna Student Council members travelled to Abilene to work at the Food Bank of West Central Texas. Some students sorted through donations and boxed them up for distribution to local food banks while others packed bottled water or sweet potatoes. After the food bank, the group made their way to Frontier Texas where they learned about our great state. Following Frontier Texas, the students had lunch and a delicious snowcone from Show Cones 2 in Abilene. Show Cones had donated coupons for a free snowcone for all student council members and sponsors at the Fall Student Council meeting. The Student Council members enjoyed their day of service and learning.
