Santa Anna ISD is pleased to announce that the District will be implementing a new program available to qualifying schools participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs. The program is called the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), and will begin in the fall semester of this year. Under CEP, all students of Santa Ann ISD will receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at school at no charge to their household for the 2018-2019 school year.
CEP is a federal provision that has been available nationwide for several years, but this is the first year that the numbers have made it feasible for SAISD to participate. Parents/Guardians will no longer be required to submit the regular household application, and all students are eligible to take advantage of this program. This is a great opportunity for Santa Anna ISD to help insure that no child in our district goes without proper nutrition at school.
If we can be of further assistance concerning the CEP Program, please contact us at 325-348-3136, or go to www.SquareMeals.org and click on Programs/National School Lunch Program/CEP Guide for more information.
