On Wednesday, October 18th, ACE will be hosting Keith Deltano, an award winning teacher and parent coach who has grown into one of the nation's most requested anti-bullying speakers. Keith's program goes beyond the bully/victim/bystander labels to get at the underlying causes of bullying. Keith's background as an award winning school teacher gives him insight into school culture. His school assembly is about acceptance, making new friends by reaching out, and by encouraging the audience to stop judging one another by race, ones outward appearance, speech, or economic status. Keith teaches victims how to become bully proof.
He will speak to the Elementary students during ACE from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm. All students in grades 2-6 who stay for ACE on this day will attend. Therefore, your child may not have time to work on their homework on this day during ACE.
That evening, ACE will host a Parent Workshop for parents of Pre-K –12th grade students. The presentation will be in the High School auditorium from 5:45 pm-6:45 pm. All parents are encouraged to attend.
